Snow first hit us on Sunday. :D Unfortunately, it wasn't dangerous enough for school to be canceled yesterday. :( While I was driving to school though, I was at a stoplight and suddenly an icicle came crashing down from the light. XD I was lucky it didn't hit me and that I was at a stop. It sure jolted me though. Haha. So yesterday evening I ended up watching the news to see if it got any worse. It sure did, and school today is canceled! I jumped when they announced it and high-fived my mom (who works for the school district too). XDD YAY FOR US. I went to bed soon after and then our electricity went out. My first thought was, "My BT download! T___T" LOL. I'm so sad.

This is what it looks like in my backyard. I wish there was more snow, but I guess the ice is bad enough on the roads.

And a close-up of the ice on the branches. :) Winter is such a wonderful season.

I also found THIS on the kitchen counter when I arrived home from school yesterday. I just stood there shocked for a minute at least. I love my dad. He knows how much I wanted this movie on DVD. I was eventually going to buy it for myself. He found it for $5.95; well, I don't know how much he loves me but we sure are a frugal family. XDD

wow. there's been A LOT of posting on my flist about the deadly ice in the midwest. it's good that you got to get out of school... but bad since it's well, deadly. so I'm worried about you. D:
anyway, I live in tennessee... and it doesn't usually snow until AFTER jaunary... but it's a wimpy snow :(

YES, ice gets pretty bad over here. But don't worry about me, I'll be fine. If you worry, I'll worry. D= And yeah, our itty-bitty snow melted in a day but the ice is just horrible. I just hope the ice doesn't get to you up there~.

one of my frustrations, really, is to see the snow and snowflakes. I haven't been out of the country since I was born and heck, this is a tropical country and while there are... pretty summer sites and breathtaking beaches [I can't really appreciate it since I live here but Ken Zhu was here to film, and said that Batanes is absolutely breathtaking.... And Kimura Takuya and Josh Hartnett were at somewhere in the South and said it's absolutely gorgeous. But I don't know, really.]

And yay! Iwo Jima! I am actually forcing my aunt to buy me the DVD or the VCD at least for Iwo Jima but to no avail. I love Iwo Jima.... Although my aunt thinks the purpose of my purchase is because of Nino.. Sad.

:( I'd be so disappointed if I couldn't experience the winter-y aspects of snow and snowflakes. Sometimes, I wish it wasn't so cold though. You should really go out of the country during winter and see it when you can. :)

XDD Yeah, I've watched Iwo Jima twice in one night. Once, by myself and once with my dad. I think I've convinced him enough that I wanted it. If I were you, I'd go on and on about how learning the history of the war is very educational, etc. XD That might help.

I have family who live in CA and they just recently moved to Kansas, where I live. They've said they never seen snow, ever until now. D= During the wintertime over there, it just gets chilly. Maybe in the upper areas of CA, there's a small chance of snow but I don't know either. XD

after watching a lot of G no Arashi episodes I am inclined to believe that fangirling is absolutely educational. Hahaha!

We have tons of copies of Iwo Jima here and they never run out of stock [ironically Flags has less copies..] so I am waiting for the holiday sale sometime in late December and January. My aunt always buys loads of DvDs to watch during holiday breaks because she's a movie addict and I benefit too since I would just smile [really really big hopeful smile] and hold up a copy of the movie I want and voila! Rush to the cashier or you'll never gonna have it.. Hahaha!

and i know why now.. it's expensive! the VCDs cost around $7 in your currency, P275 in ours. And the DVDs around $20 or P800 in our currency.. That's why nobody won't touch them..

congratulations on your purchase! Yay! [desperately waiting for the holiday sale... iwo jima. iwo jima. here i come!]

XD YES. At our local supermarket (which has a movie rental), after a DVD has been out several months and can no longer be a 'New Release', they'll usually put it on the shelves right outside of the rental area for $7.95 and then later $5.95. My dad and I have been waiting FOREVER for them to put out Letters from Iwo Jima and they just recently put out just 2 copies. Luckily, my dad rents movies so often he was able to grab one for me. :D We went back again today and there weren't anymore copies. We definitely were lucky. *__*

Awww. [prays snow will come your way]

Those pictures are pretty! I can't live in places that snows coz I hate cold weather... But snow on trees are sure pretty. ^______^

OMG! Where did your dad find Letters From Iwo Jima for $5.95? I added that to my Amazon wish list for like a year, and those used ones are still $7. WTF. They have like 95 used and new and it's still 7 bucks. I'm not buying it unless it's under 6 dollar! LOL. That movie is SO good. Your dad really loves you! =D Too bad Nino never come to the West Coast for the promotion. Ugh.

Yeah, I sometimes wish we could have snow at a higher temperature. XD Can't have it all though.

I so agree! I LOVE this movie. :D I explained how I got it to Kaori but Copy & Paste works too. XDD [lazy]

Flags of our Fathers (with tons of copies) was available months ago and I was about to give up because it just wouldn't make sense to sell that DVD and not Iwo Jima. XD Good thing I waited.

And yeah, it's too bad. If Nino ever came to West Coast for a promotion, I'd be rushing over there. No one ever comes to the Midwest for anything. LOL. Although, I'd probably hear about it too late; I never know these things until after they've already returned to Japan. XD

XD Yeah, it's my backyard. I did cut out some parts of my backyard that didn't look so cool, though. Haha. Aww, the best part of snow is going outside and running around in it! :(

LOL, everything you say comes off as stalkerish. ;) I live in Kansas, USA.

Hi, I recently stumbled upon your journal and you seem like a really interesting person^^
I'm always looking for more Arashi friends so I hope you don't mind me adding you.

I love winter and snow. Your backyard looks so pretty! My backyard is just a large patch of grass, no trees or anything.
And wow you got a great deal on the Letters from Iwojima dvd!

Aw, thank you! It actually doesn't look that nice. I just cut off the parts of the ground that stuck out. Haha. XD So basically, only the trees are pretty. *_*
