Maou, oh Maou. ♥ It was a great start to my fourth of July before I head to a barbeque where I can only stare and smell. T____T At least the fireworks will be pretty..

My favorite part during the opening is when Toma's running (well he's always running, lol) and slams into the wall of tarot cards. I just love the symbolism of everything.

I started smiling when Nino started appearing of the shadows. XDD And dangit, it still hurts when I smile. The pain Ohmiya puts me through!

I can't help but laugh whenever I see this guy because of his appearances in Gokusen. XDD And the fact that his face takes up most of the screen. *squeezes his cheeks*

Who will be the next victim? [insert awesome suspenseful Maou background music] And here goes another week of Truth on loop for me!

Call me overly optimistic, but I honestly think this series is going to be AWESOME! I've seen the original Korean version, so I already have an idea as to the sequence of events, however, I noticed a few changes in the Japanese version that seemed to work better. I'm also looking forward to see what direction they take in future episodes, because the original got very draggy towards the middle, and focused on a few things that I thought were pretty irrelevant.

Anyway, I've read some comments regarding Ohno's acting that express a more negative opinion. Personally, I thought he was brilliant & extremely fitting for the character. I can see the influence of the original in his portrayal, but he adds something darker & more sinister to the role that really defines evil. Joo Ji Hoon's version was wicked & calculating, but I felt like there was something lacking. At times he seemed more like an evil robot or scarecrow - there just wasn't the right amount of depth to the character. I wasn't getting the "Maou" vibe the way I do watching Riida.

Some people were mentioning Riida's "lack of emotion". Okay, first of all, that aspect is key to his character's personality & state of mind - heartless, cold, & devoid of emotion. Second, knowing his RL personality, only makes his ability to portray such a trait (without coming off as robotic) all the more outstanding in my book! You can't deny it - the guy is really, really EVIL. I mean, just look at that sexy lustful menacing stare of his!! *dies*

ZOMG, THE NINO SCENE! The way Riida slowly turns his head and glares down at him! Kyaaa~ I seriously got goosebumps from those few seconds - it was like he was possessed or something! o___o


...on second thought, it was probably tingles of fangirlish glee. ROFLLL~ ♥

No, I totally agree with you! I can already tell I'm going to be so caught up in this storyline. I haven't seen the Korean version because I didn't want to watch Maou while making comparisons. So I'm glad the Japanese version worked well for you! That's a relief. :D

Yes! What's there not to love about Ohno's acting? Each expression seems to just tell it all. There are plenty of times where I don't see Ohno, but rather the sinister Maou. He doesn't say a lot, but the glares, man. I'd say everything he's doing is just enough. *__*b

Some people have said this will make you hate Ohno's character. It's quite the opposite for me, I sympathize completely with him. ROFL. So what if he's a murderer? XDDD

NINO SCENE. The whole minute worth! *___* It kind of makes you think there's going to be more of him. Why would you introduce a character with that much impact for such a little time and just drop him?! And Ohno and his glare. ♥

I was fifty minutes into the show when I suddenly went 'EH WHERE'S MY NINO'. His scene was so... pointless, though. Although it did make awesome fanservice XD

I thought it was my favorite part too ~ I repeated several times XD <yeah weird huh.. I really grined wide wide wide grin when I heared ohno singing "I take your life orever~ you take my life forever" .. ~ Kyaa haaha ha .. *ok now I'm acting weiiird @@* haaa ~ Kuma <lol his name in gokusen , I can't name him but that ! ~ yup I really think he is chubby XD I like his acting ~ he seems to be a sweet guy ! LOL @ ohmiya .. I really laughed too .. that part when ninomiya appeaed ! I just started laughing .. and said to myself .. "they just want an ohmiya seen" .. XDDDDDDD *hugs* pain pain .. fly away ~ * .. hope you feel better =(
