  • Went to play tennis again at a local park and found out the courts have been vandalized with graffiti! So I'd try to read them between games; in the middle of the court, "MANIAK" was written. Then as per normal, I'd think, Ah, they can't spell. Then there are the usual nonsensical graffiti and a couple of initials here and there, and one that said, "SK" ...
  • School is quite.. normal? I can't even think of anything interesting to say about it. XD I think the class I'll be most looking forward to is Gen Psych. In the other classes, I already feel behind despite having just started. (Yes, even in Japanese. D:)
  • I am doing such a great job avoiding All the Best! scans. XD
  • The new version of Firefox isn't compatible with my transparent-y layout! ..So I re-downloaded the old one, lol.

Alright, now that I'm not so pooped, I can actually type out this entry. We left right after school Wednesday and it was a long 3-hour drive to Topeka. By the time we got there it was dark and everyone was tired. The hotel lobby was nice though! Once you stepped in you could see the jacuzzi and giant pool with a mega slide yo. It was a super nice hotel to stay in, especially one that's paid for by the school. :) The rooms themselves were alright. Basically the whole ride, my friend and I were working on Calculus which SUCKED. I hate that class with a passion. ><; And we're still not done. Then I knocked out at like 11 but my roommates were still up and freakin' loud. XD

But anyway, we had to wake up at 6 and be at the courts by 7:30ish after some Panera breakfast. Mm~, bagles. That sucked for me 'cause I kept thinking it was my last high school match and I totally lost and got eliminated after the first round. ;___; That girl was too good. ALTHOUGH, our number one was the champion! So basically we had to stay and watch her matches for hours. XD Ah well, we were proud of her. That's pretty much my tournament to sum it up. Ah, how I wish I took pictures.

I also missed my Comp Tech class while we were still working on a Photoshop magazine project and I asked my teacher if I could take it home and work on it. He was like, "Wha? Do you have Photoshop at home?" and I said, "Yeah, although it's just Photoshop 6." XD He actually didn't seem that surprised. He just said, "Yeah, that's fine. Just make sure you can send your saved work to complete it at home." :P He also showed us a binder with a bunch of the past magazine covers that people have made. Hopefully mine will look the best. (Some were so poorly made.) o_o But yeah, I'm actually excited for this project. :P

Oh man, I'm exhausted to the max. My two day trip in Topeka for the Regionals tennis tournament was way too long and tiring. I'm about ready to knock out so I think I'll just finish this entry tomorrow evening. XD Night~.

My whole right arm aches. ;___; I can't even hold my tennis racket without pain. Oh, and during practice, I found out I have a gaping hole in my tennis shoes. XD It's only been a year since I bought them. I guess running around on the courts wear them out faster. SO, I get to go shopping for new ones tonight. Oh yeaah.

Which reminds me! For my ringtone, I set it as the intro to Arashi's Oh Yeah! and it rang once at my house. My friend Jennifer thought it was so cool and I was just beaming. =D It makes me happy when Arashi songs get praised. :3

I HATE STRESS. >:( It sucks big time yo. Not only do I have a big-time ACT this saturday that decides my future, BUT I also have to buy music for district choir auditions, write a personal statement and send in my scholarship/college application that's due October 1st. Why is life so complicated man?! I hate being a senior. :(

I've found out playing in a tennis tournament and not applying sunscreen wasn't such a good idea. I kind of didn't think I'd be outside for a whole 9 hours in the hot blazing sun. ;__; My shoulders and back were burnt so bad I couldn't sleep that night. My blanket and sheets kept itching me. T_T And even worse! I've never had that bad of a sunburn before so I freaked out when I saw bubbles on my back. XD I poked one and water popped out and I was like, "What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?" It was terrible, yo. I looked like some mutant snake that was shedding or something. Anyways, the moral of the story is that I learned my lesson and will wear sunblock every time I play tennis in the sun. XD Hopefully, you will too.

Failure.

I always feel bad playing with Suzan 'cause I feel like I'm slowing her game down. T_T This year we play doubles first, so I was up with our No. 1 player Suzan. It didn't help that we also played with the (imho) the school who has all the people who've been playing since they were 3. >< So our match ended with 1-6 2-6. I CRI. I totally got killed in my singles match too.

I also had a blister on my finger that popped after my singles match. :( It hurts. BUT, my friend told me a little neosporin and a bandaid will work wonders. XD I'mma try that one out.

We still have a match Thursday and a varsity tournament Saturday morning. >:O Hopefully, those will go much better than today. ;___;

What a relief! During practice today I had to play this girl for 2nd spot on varsity. o_o I was so scared I'd lose but I won 6-1 yo! Aaand, our coach went easy on us on conditioning. I sense a good mood coming from her. Haha, maybe it was the rain. This week was also the longest ever. It took so long for the day to end and the weekend to come. Omigosh. [wipes sweat]

I started to watch Yoiko no Mikata and it's so cute! :3 Sho plays such a happy-go-lucky character. :) I love it.

So my last layout was bright and peachy, but I quickly got tired of that. Can you believe it's been less than two months of that layout? O_O But anyways, I decided with a green-ish layout, and of course featuring Arashi! Ahaha... oh man they're definitely taking over my life. But I can't help it! =D I'll probably keep this one for a while. :)

On another note, I about died at tennis practice today! What kind of coach tells me to play against the number 1 player on the team for an hour and a half, condition us with crazy drills, and THEN on top of that, make us run two laps around the courts! CRAZY, I tell ya! >:O!
midori: (Nino x Jun)
OH NO. School starts in less than a week! [shock] I feel like the summer just whooshed by. I didn't even swim at all the whole summer! That's amazingly sad. I guess taking a summer class didn't help me enjoy my summer much either. I am excited for tennis season though, even though our first practice is Monday and I have no idea what time it starts. @_@ Why the heck do you not give us the time and expect us to call a number that's not in service to find out?! SO, I may or may not go to practice that day. Haha.

On another note, I always like discovering how I really think or what I specialize in. I remember for a college visit, I even went to a session to figure out what I'd be good at doing since I'm a really indecisive person and didn't have a clue. So, I figured I'd try this out too!

DEFENDER. PROTECTOR. Betty to the rescue! Makes me sound like some superhero. Haha. Let me protect you with my musical abilities and talents!

Last Friday, I worked a good chunk of the day (4 hours) on a class project with my friend. We presented yesterday and got an A. 95% Baby! I would have been pissed if we didn't. T_T The poster ended up taking so much longer than everyone else's powerpoints.

Today, we went to the county courthouse for a class field trip. We got to sit in on a rape court case which was somewhat exciting. I was afraid we'd sit in some boring traffic case. They weren't sure if it was rape or consensual and we didn't stay for that long to find out either. Our teacher's going to call them later to find out the verdict. The judge was excited that the class was sitting in to watch; I guess it doesn't happen that often. We also found out that our teacher's afternoon class's field trip was canceled because they were misbehaving. Haha, that makes me glad I took the morning class.

These days I've been watching j-drama everyday. Haha. I've already finished Tokyo Friends + movie, Backdancers! movie, and the Lovely Complex movie. One more episode of 14 Sai no Haha and I'll be done with that too. 14 Sai no Haha's so dramatic in a good way. I've also been watching Proposal Daisakusen, Nodame Cantabile, and Bambino!.

So I've been going to park almost everyday to play tennis. It's amazing but almost everyday I see someone I know. My cousin tells me it's an asian park because of all of the asians that show up there. :o Somehow I've never noticed before.

My Days

Today my friends and I were supposed to go to a water park but they canceled because it looked like it was going to rain. I hate when these types of things happen and you can't blame anyone. So many times, my friends have planned things with me and I get really excited. Next thing I know, they say they can't do it 'cause they're tired, or they'll do it some other time. I know it's not their fault but it's happened so many times already. I just don't know what to expect anymore. Do I keep bringing my hopes up and later be disappointed, or do I just not expect anything at all?

Lately all I've been doing is watching J-dramas to pass the time. Holy crap, those are addicting. Download. Watch. Download. Watch. I'm like a machine.

Starting this week though, I think we'll be playing tennis everyday with my mom and cousins. Tennis is <3. I played with my mom yesterday, and man, she's good. What a natural. The people in the next court were playing some weird hackey sack game with a soccer ball. It was amusing to watch though.

During last year's tournament. Boredom = Tennis Vector. <3

Alright. So. In order to qualify for the state tournament, I have to place 4th place or better. The problem is.. I'm playing doubles. Not only that, but my doubles partner sucks. D= I HATE IT. She double faults like none other. She's like a 10% SCROLL! I swear! Agh. Most of the season, I've had to play with her for tournaments and we haven't won a single match. Not a single one. It makes me so pissed and I can't do anything about it.

Also. Regionals is an elimination tournament. Meaning once we lose, we're out. Tomorrow is the day and we have school. I expect to miss the whole day because I hate school, but I highly doubt it because we'll lose on our first match. It's absolutely a given. F5 F5 F5

Hmm, today I'll probably watch fireworks, eat some great barbeque. Yum~ And play MS some more. XD

Yesterday was the first day of supposedly some kind of unofficial summer tennis camp that my coach set up. Only about 3 others showed up. ~_~ But it was actually a lot of fun. I practiced my serve and we did random drills. But the thing that killed me the most that day, was the HEAT! It was soo hot. Even my jug of water wasn't enough. Why, sun?! Why must you burn me into a crisp?! T_T

Edit:

Oh man, that Italy vs. Germany game was great. Two scores within the last few minutes of overtime! *-* My parents and I were so excited.
