Close Call

So I'm driving to school like usual. The window's down (well, halfway down because if it goes any lower it gets stuck and that's a whole 'nother problem) and the wind is breezily breezin' my sweaty neck. I'm speeding by eight miles but it's okay 'cause I never see any cops on the way to class. Or so I thought because in the corner of my eye I spot the police car. Except it's too late to notice because in a few seconds I will be passing this small side road the cop car is parked. I decelerate but it's no use. It's my time. I hope the officer is nice..

Then out of nowhere this white SUV (which evidently did not notice the sneakily hidden cop) comes zooming past me in the next lane, the police car pulls out, the siren's on and they're on the side of the road. Any other time I might have been like, "Ha-ha! Sucker!" but I was too relieved and recovering from my near-ticket incident.

Anyway, miracles really do sometimes happen.

As of today my summer class is over! WHOO. I feel like most of my entries are written right after a semester is over. Shows how sparse they are, yeesh. If anyone is curious, I was taking Human Anatomy & Physiology where I got counted off for writing Ejaculation Duct instead of Ejaculatory Duct. ..Yeah.

I have not even listened to Beautiful World even though I have it. I know I know, you may shoot me now.

Speaking of things I've bought, I also picked these up at Borders because they're officially shutting down. I'm on my second read-through of THG, and I still love it. As for the upcoming movie? IS IT MARCH 23RD YET. Reading through the interviews, I absolutely approve of the cast.

And guys, if you have not read the first two books of The Kingkiller Chronicle (The Name of the Wind & The Wise Man's Fear) you are missing out. It is epic fantasy in writing and in length - as in it is freakishly long but I wish it was longer. It makes me laugh in tears and then spouts beautiful poetry, even though the main character hates poetry and poets, ha. Kvothe plays the lute - the LUTE. Innkeeper Kote gives me Nino vibes, seriously. Also, Patrick Rothfuss is a hilarious person in general; I follow his blog, lol. ANYWAY. Read it and I will too. It's next on my re-reading list anyway.

Man, I really need to stop with these 'anyway's.

When I thought it was finally over and that Spring was coming, it starts to snow again. D= It's the worst during the first hour of two of snow because that's when the roads are the slickest. On my way home from school, it was all good for about 8 minutes until I was preparing to turn into my neighborhood. (Thank goodness I only live a 10 minutes drive from school. ^^;) My car started skidding on the turn and it headed toward the curb. I freaked out when I couldn't control it. That was like the scariest 2 seconds of my life. LOL. Luckily, I was able to head into my neighborhood and home safely. T___T I'm definitely driving 20 miles below the speed limit tomorrow. Forget being late to school! XD

Oh man, it's pouring so hard right now. T___T I just got home from eating dinner, but it was pitch black at 6:45 PM. !! Complete with lightning and thunder of course. >< And making it safely home was a miracle. I'm so glad my sister was driving and not me. It was pouring so hard you couldn't even make out the roads and can barely see the other cars headlights. This was going 25 mph on a 40 mph street. I hate this weather yo. I just hope we don't lose our electricity while I'm typing out this entry. ><;

I'm starting to have iconist's block if that's possible. XD

I actually DID my calculus homework this morning/afternoon! [cheers] (Well, I didn't finish but that's not the point.) That's a miracle in itself. I'm like the biggest procrastinator. People usually do their homework until they finish late in the night. For me, I can't concentrate at night, I'll get sleepy and zone out. SO, I wake up super early and do homework on the day it's due. LOL. Friends say I'm crazy but that's how I do it. But anyway, I was away from my distraction (the desktop) and I just played my CD in the background. It was AWESOME. I think it's the power of the music. 50% of the CD was practically Arashi songs. XDD They really pump you up man. [thumbs up] I think I just discovered something that people do all the time. It's fine to call me slow. Lol.

I'm also very upset that we ran out of ice cream in our house.
