I rewatched Maou episode 1 in the living room today and my mom sat down next to me to skim through the mail. After seeing the Ohmiya glare in the alley and the Naruse/Serizawa glares during the reenactment scene, my mom blurts, "Why do they keep staring at each other?" I should have said something along the lines of, "Because they're enemies." but my first thought ended up being totally inappropriate. So I ended up giggling. XD Mom probably thinks I'm strange. Well, I guess I am.

Sho's new AU CM: Oh, Sho. This commercial basically just killed me. I literally keeled over my keyboard laughing. I really was expecting the transformation part but it surprised me nonetheless. Yatterman will be the death of me. XDD

Truth/Kaze no Mukou e: After listening to Truth in full, I love it even more. The little instrumental interlude sounds even more fitting to Maou. I'm hoping for an AMAZING PV, guys. KILLER DANCE MOVES, YES? Heck, A Maou-related PV would be awesome as well. 8DD

And for some odd reason, I'll just be doing some of my daily routines around the house and shwabam! Kaze no Mukou e will just start playing in my head. Especially the Ame no Mukou e~, whoa Kaze no Mukou e~ part. XDD I'm lovin' the summery feel.

Rookies OST: ALAS. Someone uploaded it last night and I've been listening to my favorite track all day. *glee* I don't know why but Rookies Ai no Theme has the power to bring tears to your eyes just by listening to it. T___T So beautiful.

And the drama itself. I'm not even a fan of baseball but this drama is so inspiring. Sato Ryuta is the master at inspiration (and hilarity). And Masumi Mano Mikoshiba (Why do all of his characters have M names?!) Koide Keisuke, that man can cry! Every time he starts to cry, I'm like, Oh no. Please d-don't cry. And then his LIP TREMBLES. That's when I give up and just cry with him.

So this has gone on for years. Once a month, my dad makes me check his credit card bills and hand-shred all of the receipts. The first couple of months, I've started complaining that a paper shredder could easily take care of those receipts without wasting my time. I learned to give up after my dad continuously comes up with excuses like, "You need to exercise your hands once in a while." or "We'll wait until a paper shredder goes on sale." ..Right. And then today. He hands me a huge-ass stack of documents and wanted me to rip them. I was like, "Are you kidding me?!! adghdlajgh! Paper shredder! Please!" ><; So I sat with a trash can and started to shred them with my hands, thinking why the heck we don't just buy a freakin' paper shredder. After I did five documents, he comes over and says, "Nevermind. I'll just buy a paper shredder 'cause there's like a ton more documents I was gonna have you shred but I don't think that would go very well." OMGYES. THANK YOU.

Lol, my life is very sad.

Gokusen 3, Code Blue, & a few movies )

OH, HnA-chan download finished! *runs off to watch childminder Jun & Nino*
midori: (Nino (Lucky Man))
I seriously need the Rookies OST now. D: The music's too beautiful. That drama makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. ♥

I've also been listening to One Love and How to fly way too often. XD God, how I love How to fly. And I noticed something; no rapping. :O So that means no sakurap for this single? And, I hope Arashi performs How to fly on Music Station, etc. along with One Love. Just because I love it so much and it'd be like what they did for the Lai-Lai-Lai performance (which I'm so glad they did that song because it was AMAZING).

WHO ELSE IS CRYING OF HAPPINESS BECAUSE NINO IS APPEARING IN MAOU? Well, the first episode but any Ohmiya goodness is enough to have me flailing. *__* Oh producer-san, I love you.

I'm excited for Hanadan Final too but just thinking about how it's a movie and how much longer it'd take for the DVD to be released before it leaks onto the internet makes me wish I was in Japan at this moment. ><;

Green is my favorite color and I've gone through too many Hulk jokes. XD So to satisfy my friends, we went to see The Incredible Hulk today in the theaters and IT WAS MADE OF SO MUCH AWESOME. I want my own Kickass!Hulk now.

I was actually going to wait to make an entry 'til I can upload more sketches for Nino month but I fail. And I didn't want to have you guys witness how I can really butcher Nino's features. HAHA. Maybe another time. XD

I have this friend who I recently got addicted to jdramas. How it all happened:

She started to like DBSK because of another friend of hers and I was like, "Man, I gotta work some Arashi magic and get her to like Arashi too!" One more fan's always better, right? So I asked her if she wanted to watch some jdramas, and she replied, "Sure." What else would bait anyone in but good 'ol Hanadan! So I let her borrow the first season, and it took her a week to actually watch the first episode. T_T But then she finally did and she LOVED IT. However, instead of getting jun-baited, she got shun-baited. XDD She likes the "hot and mysterious Hanazawa Rui." She thinks Matsujun is funny but Oguri Shun is too beautiful and pitiful that she feels sorry for him. LOL. She did rewind and watch the sad parting between Doumyouji and Makino a million times though. XDD She even made copies of both seasons for herself.

Plan B. Let's try to get her baited with the other members! I whooped out my absolute favorite drama of all time that I've watched more times than I can count, Yamataro! This drama never fails to make me tear up. I told her how much I loved Nino and it turns out she likes Sho more. Not that I'm complaining. XD We watched the first episode together with my sister and my sister kept cracking up again each time she sees the cool Mimura Takuya because she knows Sho's nothing like him. HAHAHA. My friend says he has a creepy smile so she thinks he's hot when he doesn't smile. XD She still likes Oguri Shun more though, I sadly admit.

I dropped off Hanakimi at her house today because Shun's in it and she's already half-way done yo. To her, it's definitely Ikemen Paradise. XDDD I wonder how she'd react to Shun in Binbo Danshi. HAHA. Everytime she finishes a drama, I get a text like, "Betty, get the next drama ready, I'm almost finished with this one." LOL. What have I done to create such an addict? I was thinking of getting her into some Arashi variety shows but I don't know where to start. I don't want her to get confused or lose interest. >_<; She does have a few songs on her Ipod so I could start with some performances. HMM. Well, I'll see.

---

On another note, a new season of dramas! Last Friends keeps me at the edge of my seat with cliffhangers. T_T! Ryo really plays his part well. I cringe every time Nagasawa gets hurt though. D: It hurts me in the heart. Why, Ryo, whyy?! And Ueno Juri, so cool! *__* I downloaded Zettai Kareshi and was ready to flail but my sister said I can't watch it without her because she really wants to watch this one for some reason. So flailing that will have to come later. :(
midori: (Nino (Classic))
I finally finished watching Papa to Musume no Nanokakan with my sister the other day and I loved it. :D I think I begin to like JE members more when I watch them act. :) Shige had a kakkoi~ side to him in the drama. Haha. And speaking of NEWS, I found Massu cute in Waraeru Koi wa Shitakunai. :D If you haven't downloaded WKwS, you need to now. There's so much crack and I love it. It's so heartwarming too. I've also begun to love Sakai Wakana who's also been in Kisarazu Cat's and First Kiss. Even though her voice can get annoying at times, I love her a lot for some reason. XD

And on a rather depressing note, I decided to sit down and watch two episodes of Handoku!!! that my sister had burned onto discs ages ago. OMG, I didn't expect it but it was SO good. XD It was full of Nagase Tomoya goodness and some sdag;hgnarg blond Nino. So anyway, after I finished those two episodes, I thought I'd go check online and download the rest. But then, I discovered that those two episodes are the only two that exist on the whole wide internet. T____T Now I just have to sit and pray that some awfully nice people find raws and subs it. ajds;askf WHYY DO THEY DO THIS TO MEE. [cries]

I recently finished watching Hotaru no Hikari. :D I think it was the last episode that I was pretty much banging my head hoping that Fujiki Naohito gets the girl this time instead of always being the 'nice guy'. See Proposal Daisakusen. I was all cheesin' at the end, 'cause it worked out. Yaay. He needs to get more roles like he had in Hotaru no Hikari. No need for weird teachers that die (Koukou Kyoushi 2003) or nice guys that end up with no one (ProDai). Funny buchou, yes!

The other day for Halloween I ended up passing candy to the little ones again. :3 Some kids are so incredibly cute. But then, there was this one Elementary/Middle School kid who decided to be annoying. He came up and said, "No habla ingles. Do you know what that means?" and then laughed. I gave him a look and said, "Yes." and gave him the candy anyway. I really wanted to correct him and tell him it's "No hablo ingles." but he ran away afterwards. >_> Power to my Spanish 2 class! Ahaha. Although learning the preterite and imperfect past tenses is a major pain. :(

I was watching the first episode of Dream Again today and I absolutely LOVE how they use Kobukuro's Aoku Yasashiku in it. *______* I love that song. I'm loving the drama too (mainly because of Sorimachi Takashi XD). Yay! AND, I nearly sprayed my Cherry Coca-Cola when his fiancee introduced herself as Ninomiya. XDDD Why does it seem like all of my posts tend to steer towards Nino somehow?
midori: (Ohno x Sho (Speechless))
I'm convinced that the side profile of Nakamura Aoi in Boys Este looks like Nino. I swear, when Hibiki looked to the side, I did a double take and had to rewind! XDD! This is what happens when Nino's too much on your mind. Haha.

Feel free to tell me I'm crazy. XD )

My Weekend

midori: (Miura Haruma)
On Saturday I went to my school's 50th Year Celebration Night or something like that. I signed up to do the ticket taking and man, I've never seen so many old White people in our auditorium. O_O It was a shocker, especially since now the majority of our school is dominated by Black and Hispanic people. Public school, yeii! And I'm Asian, so I'm pretty sure some of those ladies felt uncomfortable that I was taking their tickets. >_> Well, most of them were very nice though. The show itself was great! Freakin' long but great. XD And the set and drops/curtains never looked better. I think they said some professional that works in Hollywood that graduated from our high school did it.

I'm such a poor photographer so this photo sucks. Haha. It was taken in the back near the foyer. Stupid bright lights!

I also printed out a new poster! [beams] =D Yay, YUI~! I paid for a new cartridge of color ink as well, so I won't have to worry about running out of ink anytime soon.

If my pictures are too big and stretch your layouts, just tell me! :O I'll lj-cut them pronto!

I finally finished watching HanaKimi with my sister the other day. :o I was a little disappointed in some of the differences between the drama and the manga. Like for instance, there's no 'American' friend Julia (which was probably hard to find a good actress for, can't blame them) and the ending was a little different. Well, some of the quirks from the drama were just crazy enough that you just have to give in. Haha. I'm still upset that YamaTaro is over. T_T I still have those YTM moments in the house and my sister's like, "It's over, Betty." [cries]
midori: (Ohno Bird)
What a relief! During practice today I had to play this girl for 2nd spot on varsity. o_o I was so scared I'd lose but I won 6-1 yo! Aaand, our coach went easy on us on conditioning. I sense a good mood coming from her. Haha, maybe it was the rain. This week was also the longest ever. It took so long for the day to end and the weekend to come. Omigosh. [wipes sweat]

I started to watch Yoiko no Mikata and it's so cute! :3 Sho plays such a happy-go-lucky character. :) I love it.
midori: (Nino (Umbrella))
I went ahead and decided to go over my summer j-dramas as well. Ah~, I can't believe I watched so much this summer. Sometimes, I'd just sit home and watch for hours and hours. I guess it was all the catching up I had to do since I didn't watch most of the school year. These are just the few series that I completed from start-to-finish this summer. Of course, there are many I'm still currently watching right now. Haha. Will I do those later? Saa~, who knows? XD

14 Sai no Haha [2006 Oct-Dec]
After watching Jyou no Kyoushitsu with Shida Mirai, I wanted to see this. I became more impressed with her after watching this and now I'm currently watching her in Tantei Gakuen Q. I'm sure in the future, she'll become a well-known actress with many roles. There were also other new actors that were featured in this drama which was nice. Haha, I laughed when Sorimachi Takashi popped out of nowhere as the doctor in the last two episodes. I didn't expect that. Gotta love that guy.

Ace wo Nerae [2004 Jan-Mar]
I think the main reason I liked this drama was because it was about TENNIS. <3 Ueto Aya to me isn't really one I like to watch in dramas but she was good in this one. I think it's funny that they cg-ed the tennis ball throughout all the matches so they could control the direction of the ball however they like. I'm sure it was a lot easier that way. The storyline was quite simple and the matches were cut short so they don't last forever and bore you to death.

Bambi~no! [2007 Apr-Jun]
After HYD2, MatsuJun returns in Bambi~no! I loved him in this one too. I also liked his hair a lot better in this than HYD2. XD It was really informative italian-cooking-wise. My favorite part is probably when he was told to serve in the dining hall as a waiter. His attempts were hilarious.

Hana Yori Dango 2: Returns [2007 Jan-Mar]
I couldn't watch this at first because I couldn't remember what happened in the first season so I made sure I rewatched that season first. I liked how Tsukushi first starts out in NY, it was different for a change. And somehow Doumyouji's hair became poofier and curlier. XD Of course, with the drama comes rivals, obstacles that get in their way, misunderstandings, all that good stuff. I loved it.

Joudan Janai! [2007 Apr-Jun]
After watching Nodame I wanted to watch this because of Ueno Juri. I was surprised to see her acting so normal! XD Too much Nodame for me. I kept wanting her to be all, "Dokyaa~!" but it never happened. Haha.

Joou no Kyoushitsu [2005 Jul-Sept]
This series was amazingly touching. I cried a lot. I don't think it's possible for a teacher to go to that extent to care for their students. It's amazing.

Lunch no Joou [2002 Jul-Sept]
Ah~, Tsumabuki Satoshi totally made the whole drama worthwhile. I don't think it would have been the same if he wasn't the actor. Haha. I now know what Omurice and demiglace sauce are! It was also nice to see Yamapi and Yamada Takayuki.

Nobuta wo Produce [2005 Oct-Dec]
I like seeing Yamapi play roles like this one, rather than the "I'm so cool for anything" roles he gets often. Horikita Maki was great in this one too. Her roles in NwP, Hana Kimi, and Seito Shokun!, all differ which is always impressive.

Nodame Cantabile [2006 Oct-Dec]
Oh man, every single episode was hilarious. I loved every bit of it and it was great to see a drama as classical music oriented as this one was. I can't wait until the second season.

Proposal Daisakusen [2007 Apr-Jun]
Hallelujah Chance! Will you confess in this episode? The next? How about the 11th? Haha. I've never seen such a guy take so long to confess even with so many chances. ProDai has an interesting storyline which I haven't seen in any other drama. Don't Knock New York! Many people aren't satisfied with the very ending as well. I think that was one of the few downsides to the drama.

Ahh~, I can't believe summer's nearing its end so soon. ;_;

It's July!

Relatives are coming soon to visit us for the holiday. It'll be fun since I don't see them too often.

I just fished for 5.5 hours today and only caught one fish. That's just sad. When we finished though, there was some great barbeque. Mm. And then I took a nice nap after I ate. It felt good.

Oh, and I just finished the Nodame Cantabile jdrama last night. Ah, I love that series. Can't wait 'til the next season.
midori: (Blush)
Last Friday, I worked a good chunk of the day (4 hours) on a class project with my friend. We presented yesterday and got an A. 95% Baby! I would have been pissed if we didn't. T_T The poster ended up taking so much longer than everyone else's powerpoints.

Today, we went to the county courthouse for a class field trip. We got to sit in on a rape court case which was somewhat exciting. I was afraid we'd sit in some boring traffic case. They weren't sure if it was rape or consensual and we didn't stay for that long to find out either. Our teacher's going to call them later to find out the verdict. The judge was excited that the class was sitting in to watch; I guess it doesn't happen that often. We also found out that our teacher's afternoon class's field trip was canceled because they were misbehaving. Haha, that makes me glad I took the morning class.

These days I've been watching j-drama everyday. Haha. I've already finished Tokyo Friends + movie, Backdancers! movie, and the Lovely Complex movie. One more episode of 14 Sai no Haha and I'll be done with that too. 14 Sai no Haha's so dramatic in a good way. I've also been watching Proposal Daisakusen, Nodame Cantabile, and Bambino!.

So I've been going to park almost everyday to play tennis. It's amazing but almost everyday I see someone I know. My cousin tells me it's an asian park because of all of the asians that show up there. :o Somehow I've never noticed before.

My Days

Jun. 12th, 2007 03:51 pm
midori: (Backyard)
Today my friends and I were supposed to go to a water park but they canceled because it looked like it was going to rain. I hate when these types of things happen and you can't blame anyone. So many times, my friends have planned things with me and I get really excited. Next thing I know, they say they can't do it 'cause they're tired, or they'll do it some other time. I know it's not their fault but it's happened so many times already. I just don't know what to expect anymore. Do I keep bringing my hopes up and later be disappointed, or do I just not expect anything at all?

Lately all I've been doing is watching J-dramas to pass the time. Holy crap, those are addicting. Download. Watch. Download. Watch. I'm like a machine.

Starting this week though, I think we'll be playing tennis everyday with my mom and cousins. Tennis is <3. I played with my mom yesterday, and man, she's good. What a natural. The people in the next court were playing some weird hackey sack game with a soccer ball. It was amusing to watch though.

During last year's tournament. Boredom = Tennis Vector. <3
